Carson Palmer, QB Arizona Cardinals ($6,700) – The Ravens defense gives up nearly 305 passing yards and 2 TD’s per game.
Landry Jones, QB Pittsburgh Steelers ($5,100) – Took over for an injured Mike Vick last week and produced a nice week. If Big Ben can’t play, he’s worth a shot in GPPs. Kansas City has allowed the MOST DK points to opposing QBs
Todd Gurley, RB, St. Louis Rams ($5,000) – Although he still hasn’t scored a touchdown, Gurley will provide you a great opportunity to score big this week. The Browns have given up nearly 148 yards a game on average to opposing running backs and Gurley will be no exception. In addition, Vegas has this game as one of the lowest scoring matchups of the week, with the Rams favored by 5.5 points. If that’s the case, the game script should dictate a heavy run attack.
Ladarius Green, TE, San Diego Chargers ($2,900) – The return of Antonio Gates left most people wondering how Ladarius Green would be used going forward. While his production has taken a hit, he still managed to bring in 5 catches for 50 yards in week 5 , and 3 catches for 35 yards and a TD in week 6. He probably won’t score you 25+ pts, but he’ll almost certainly get you 10 every week.
Latavius Murray, RB, Oakland Raiders ($6,100) – OK, I realize $6,100 is not much of a ‘value play’ here, but hear me out. Murray is coming back fresh after a bye week, and facing a Chargers defense that has been worst in the league in stopping the run. They give up an average of 122 yards per game to opposing running backs. Murray is certainly a candidate to have a huge game for the price of a mid-level running back.
Stefon Diggs, WR, Minnesota Vikings ($4,200) – He’s developed spectacular chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater and pulled in 7 catches off of 9 targets for 129 yards last week. Even when Charles Johnson returns, he should remain heavily involved in the passing attack.
Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans ($3,900) – Caught 8-10 targets last week for 97 yards last week, but was unable to finish the game. If he’s healthy he will be facing an Atlanta defense that just gave TE Ben Watson his career best game last week.
